My Favorite Fall Music
Fall is my favorite time to try out new things!
Here are my new Fall Favorites:
1. Indie Folk.
This is one of my favorite genres of music and during the fall my obsession has a mind of it's own. Although not all of my fall playlist songs are indie folk, this genre makes up most of it. Here are the songs that are on my fall playlist currently...
-Me at the Museum, You in the Wintergardens by Tiny Ruins
-Son my Son by Milo Greene
-Work Song by Hozier
-Faux by Novo Amor & Ed Tullett
-What I Wouldn't Do by Serena Ryder
-Drive Darling by BOY
-Shallows (4AD Session) by Daughter
2. Pumpkin Anything
Yes. I know. Everyone says that the basic people in the world eat pumpkin everything during the fall but I don't care. I love pumpkin things. I love my Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice Coffee that I put Vanilla Creamer in. I love the little candy corns that are shaped like pumpkins, and pumpkin pie. I especially love pumpkin pie ice cream. They are amazing and I love them. (:
3. One Word: Flannel.
I love flannel. I love plaid, I love I love I love. This is one of my favorite fashion trends out there. And the blanket scarves are still going strong. Thank goodness. I love these scarves. They are one of my favorite things to pair with a nice sweater on a chilly day. When I have to go to class during the late fall, I am always tempted to throw on sweat pants and a comfy sweatshirt, but I will do this no more! I will fight the cold with cute sweaters and plaid blanket scarves and ankle boots.
4. My Fav Fall Colors
My favorite colors for this year would be maroon, tan, brown, bronze, deep reds, dark greens, and heather grey.
5. Make-up
My make-up obsession has reached an all time high. My favorites for this fall:
-Dark Colored Lipsticks
-Bronze, Dark Browns, Purples, and Light Cream Eyeshadow
-Cat-eyes on the smaller side done in either dark purple, brown, or black liner.
Those are Five of my Fall Favorites for 2015.
Update: Things are in motion in my life right now that may open new opportunities for a new blog and a potential youtube channel.
See you soon, lovelies!
XOXO,
Taylor(:

Wake Up and Smell the Smoothies
At one point or another I'm sure that all of us have played with the idea of eating right. Played with the idea of changing our ways to FINALLY eat healthy like we all know we should. However, that lasts only two seconds because cookies are delicious creations that cannot be resisted.
Eating healthy is hard. Trust me, I know. I have a hard time not scarfing down twenty cookies in one sitting. But do not fret if you seek to be healthy!! THERE IS A WAY!
AND THAT WAY IS SMOOTHIES!!:
I L O V E S M O O T H I E S. They are amazing creations that you can make all your own. Whether you use a recipe or throw a bunch of random sort-of healthy things in the blender, they are something that you can use to get energy for the day while being healthy!
Here is one of my favorite recipes!
Breakfast Energy Smoothie:
Ingredients:
·
2 cups orange juice
·
1 cup vanilla yogurt
·
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
·
2 cups mixed fresh or frozen berries
HERE IS THE LINK TO THE BREAKFAST ENERGY SMOOTHIE SITE FOR THE RECIPE AND PRETTY PICTURES OF ITS GOODNESS:
http://deliciouslysprinkled.com/breakfast-energy-smoothie/
Although I love finding new recipes, sometimes I find make some of my own! The smoothie that I am drinking while making this very blog is my
Bananarama Smoothie of Ultimate Goodness.
The ingredients you need to make my smoothie is:
(Forgive my measurements. They are not exactly precise and you may change them to suit what you would like to be more prominent in your smoothie!(: )
-As much Vanilla Greek Yogurt as you please, however I used about 7 big spoonfuls.

-6 cubes of pineapple (about the size of a cherry tomato).
-1 Banana
-1 1/2 cups of Orange Juice
NOW BLEND TIL IT REACHES THE CONSISTENCY YOU ARE PLEASED WITH AND ENJOY THE BANANARAMA GOODNESS.
That's all for today, lovelies!!! Have an amazing summer day!!(:

Taylor(:

Summer Fun Has Just Begun!
It's just the beginning of the summer and I simply can't wait for all for the fun to come!
What I've been up to!
Buffalo! :
So I have been super busy these past few weeks! I love the summer time! Although the heat is not my favorite thing in the world, I enjoy it while it lasts! As you guys may know, I made some friends during my first year of college, and one of them just happens to be one of my best friends, Tori!

Tori, or as I like to call her Saurus (Short of Tori-saurus. She is only the coolest dinosaur ever!), unfortunately doesn't live near me! She lives in the illustrious state of New York! But that was no obstacle! Not soon after our summer vacation began I caught a plane to Buffalo to see my bestie once more!
From the moment that she picked me up from the airport the trip was loads of fun!
After picking me up at the airport, we went and watched her sister Steph play softball! She did awesome and her team even won! Yay! Go Steph! (She's pretty cool cat.)
First!
I got to meet some of her friends from back home, who are super cool I might add! She also took me to some really good places to eat, and I'm sure that everyone is aware of my love for food. I may be picky but that doesn't mean that I love food any less!!!

A couple days later we went to the amazing Niagara Falls!!! We got to explore things like the Wax Museum as well as different stores in Canada!
![]() |
| We found a cute little stone gazebo so PICTURESSSSSSS! |
The Falls are quite beautiful of course, and the scenery around them were just as beautiful as well! Along the side of the road we found some beautiful flowers to take pictures of!
NIAGARA FALLS, CANADA
2015
(WUT WUT *RAISES THE ROOF*)
Although we were tired from the day before,
the next day held just as much adventure,
AND SHOPPING. I LOVE SHOPPING!
I got some amazing things for great prices!
I got a big sweater from Garage for only $9.50! It is so cute, and I can't wait to wear it next winter! I also got the cute baggy shirt from Garage as well! I believe, don't hold me to it, but I believe it was 12.50!
Oh! and I can't forget that I got to enter the beautiful thing that is URBAN OUTFITTERS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!! I was overwhelmed by the beauty that is indie. Seriously though. Two words: Heart. Eyes.

After an amazing week at Saurus' beautiful home, I began my flights back to Ohio, which included an 8 hour layover in Chicago. Although I didn't not get to leave the airport to visit the city of my dreams, I did get some amazing aerial pictures from the plane!
For the rest of the week:
I was bombarded with meetings, scheduling a summer class, aswell as other important adult life stuff.
However, some of the highlights were visits from my
boyfriend, Sean! Getting to text Courty, and hopefully set sometime
for us to get together cause I miss my short bestie!
Also reading!
I've read some amazing books so far this summer! I have been totally into the Ghost Bird Academy Series by C. L. Stone, (The first one is called Introductions) who just released her eighth book in the series! If you haven't read it yet, it is definitely worth your time! I am also reading the Touch Novels by Laurie Faria Stolarz (The first one is called Deadly Little Secrets). Those books are quite amazing as well! I am on the fifth and final one at the moment, and I haven't been able to put it down!
ANYWAYS! BACK TO MY ADVENTURES!
![]() |
| Lol. We are bad at taking pictures sometimes. |

| I'm telling you. It's GORGEOUS! |
Alrighty! That's all I have for today! Keep an eye out for my next post! Hope that you guys have a wonderful night, day, afternoon or morning (wherever or whenever you are reading this!)
Bye lovelies!

Homework, Stress, and Time Management
Today's post is based upon the principle that life can get hard and sometimes you just need a little time to yourself. Sometimes it is tough to keep going with your school work. Procrastination begins to set in and it corrupts your work ethic without your consent. But when that happens here are a few tips to keep you sane this semester:
1. Taking Breaks
Taking Breaks is never a bad thing. It can be beneficial and help you keep your work going. Sometimes enough is enough and you can't work any longer so you need a little break so you don't go insane. It's okay that you need that break every once in a while because everyone does. When I take a break I usually listen to music, maybe dance around my room a little, even sing til my heart is content. I find that surfing Spotify for new music to love is a great way to take a study break. Music is my kryptonite so it is the perfect release when I need one. So when your brain feels like it can't work any longer, find your fuel, and kryptonite, to keep you going til the very end.
2. Give Yourself Incentives
Incentives are pretty awesome and can give you the motivation to get your work done faster. Whether it's that you will get to hang out with your friends when you are done or that ice cream that you bought last weekend that's sitting in your fridge just waiting for consumption. What? Is that last one just me? You know what, a little ice cream never killed anyone, in fact it can even save your grade by getting you to get your homework done! These aren't the only incentives you can use. Maybe your incentive is cookies, or gummy bears, or watching the next episode of your favorite show on pinterest. Who knows? It could be anything. All I know is that it might get you one step closer to finishing that dreadful assignment that you have spent way too much time giving the evil eye.
3. Remember Sleep
Don't forget to sleep in the midst of your homework mountain. Sleep is really important and a sleepy student gets little homework done in a timely manner. I know from experience because when your energy is low and you have that homework assignment due soon looming over your head it is easy to say that you will go to bed later. That if you finish it now you can sleep later.
These are just three of my tips to stay on track in college, there will be more posts featuring my friends coming about this later. Have an amazing day lovelies!

Memories in the Making
One of the most important part of college is...
Making Memories:
Sometimes making memories seem be hard. Money can be tight, and free time can become far and in between. BUT! Who needs money when you have friends and those nights where you stay up til 3 am studying. The times that you jam to your favorite music and forget about the homework that has been stressing you out all week. College is a time for memories so make some!
Some schools, like Heidelberg, offer Alternative Spring Break Trips where you can do and do really cool stuff for a weekend while helping people in the process. One of the trips this year is the Milwaukee Trip!
If you want to follow the trip you can find my friend Tori's blog at:

Also if you want to learn more about life at Heidelberg and the life of a college student check out her blog at:

Some of the memories that my friends and I have had the opportunity to make are:
- Taking trips to various coffee shops like Coffee Amici!
- Hanging out and talking about random stuff while jamming to our favorite tunes! One of the things that our campus offers is an Open Mic Night! This is a pic of two of my sisters performing together! (They did wonderfully!)
No matter what you do with your time, make sure to spend it with your friends because they will help you get through the rough times, laugh through the good, and experience the wonderful! Now go out and don't forget to make memories worth remembering!
Have a great day lovelies!

Day in the Life of Me!: College Tips From the Road So Far
Life in college can be difficult. But it can also be fun and exciting! Here are the things that I have found in my college experience so far.
1. There is homework. ALL THE TIME. There will almost never be a day when you don't have any. But if you time manage correctly it is easy to get through!2. There are clubs, teams, groups, and other organizations that you can join! And you should try them all out! This is how you meet new friends and become more and more acquainted with college.
3. There are social events. Such as going to a sporting event with your friends, or hanging out in the caf. There is ALWAYS something to do on campus, you just have to know how to find it. If there is nothing that piques your interest on campus then go off campus! My friends and I like to try out different coffee shops, little stores, and cafes! One that we just tried out recently was in the nearby city of Findlay. It was called Coffee Amici and it was absolutely amazing. The coffee we all tried was called the Melted Snowflake, and it was one of the best things that I have tried at a coffee joint.
| Left to Right: Ellen Greene, Tori Hossenlopp (otherwise known as Tori-Saurus), Emily Nolting, and Me!(: |
4. Making new friends while keeping the old. It isn't a bad thing to keep in touch with your friends back home. I still plenty of friends from high school that I keep in touch with on a regular basis. However, part of college is branching out and meeting new people. So make sure that you, however hard it may be, step a little outside your comfort zone so that you can meet people that have the same interests, hobbies, or things alike as you. Pictured above are three of my new friends (they also happen to be three of my sorority sisters)!
| My new Tower 51 (circa 1958) vintage camera! I'm in love(: |
5. There are unexpected fire drills at 2 AM. One experience I will never forget is the moment when someone burnt rice in their microwave and set off the fire alarm at two in the morning. Let's just say that I was a little more than annoyed when I was abruptly woken up in the middle of the night. All I hope is NEVER AGAIN.
6. Buying things you don't need. When you are a freshmen, like me, you might find yourself buying things other than the necessity. From sweets to a vintage camera that you might just carry around like your very own child for several days because you are so obsessed with it. AKA that's what I just did but hey, it was only 10 bucks!
7. Buying things you think you need like grape juice. (grape juice is my love.) There are things you might think you need like a cool Walking Dead poster that is "only 5 bucks" or maybe even an endless supply of grape juice and poptarts but there are many ways that you can save money while you are in college. One of them is cutting back on the things that you don't need. I know that there might be a super cute shirt for only 15 bucks at the local target but that money could be going towards new experiences with your friends, so remember to spend wisely!
8. Don't wait til the last minute to do things! See you might be telling yourself that you have plenty of time to work on the paper due on Friday. You may rationalize that you have all week to finish it, but before you know it Friday will no longer be days away it will be TOMORROW! Then you will have to rush to finish that paper, printing it out at the last possible second, skidding to a halt and turning it in to your teacher, whilst you have two cups of coffee in your hand (which act as the only thing keeping you awake). Which leads into my next thing that I have learned.
9. Staying up all night is for nocturnal animals and sorry to tell you but you aren't one. There may be nights when you are tempted to stay up all night so that you can continue to cram for that class you didn't pay attention in all semester, but don't. There are studies that show staying up all night will not help you but just effect your memory negatively! I suggest early to bed and an early morning rise and shine will beaucoup de cafe.
10. College is stressful, but don't let that get you down. College is hard. It is a lot of work and it is easy to get stressed. I don't want to scare you (if you aren't in college already), but there is gonna be a lot of work ahead of you, but you can do it!
A tip from me, DON'T BE ALL WORK AND NO PLAY.
It sounds a little like the Shining, I know. But if all you do is school work then you will end up stressing yourself out beyond belief and that will make college a bad experience for you! Sometimes it is okay to take a break from the hard work and hang out with your friends to blow off some steam!
Okie doke! It is time for me to head to class, so bye lovelies!
xoxo,
Taylor(:

Plaid is the New Black
Hey guys! It's crazy that school has already begun, at least for most of us, this school year! I hope that you guys had an awesome break and made some amazing memories! Today I'm gonna talk about a few of my winter picks!
So this winter the style is leaning towards more earthy colors! It is fun to play with different color schemes, patterns and other designs. Here are a few of my winter favorites.
PLAID. plaid. PlAiD. And more PLaiD!
This winter plaid is one of my favorite things to wear. From blanket scarves which are HUGE right now to button ups. Some of the things that I like the best in plaid are loose button ups. The boyfriend fit button up is something that should be in every girl's wardrobe. It is super comfy because of the size and super fashionable too! If you don't like the length of you button up, tucking it in is a definite option, like I did with this vintage boyfriend button up from AM Eagle.
Although plaid is huge this season, there are other things that are making their fashion debut such as long cardigans! These just happen to be great for cuddling up with a cup of coffee and a book as well as being fashionable!
Other things that are coming into the world of fashion are leggings. Now I am one of those people who doesn't like to wear leggings as pants, but pairing extra long ones with a pair of boots and a dress can help make your outfit winter appropriate.
Boots are one of those things that are always in style. They seem to leave the trending section, so don't forget yours at home. My personal favorite are combat boots. The ones that I just got are super comfortable and cute! Some people think that fashionable boots are hard to keep good and warm with a harsh winter, but they are wrong! You've just got to know where to buy them. Certain brands like UGGs (Don't hold me to it, I am only going by word on this one since I don't own a pair), Bearclaw, and the kind that I just bought, SPORTO, can be super good! The kind that I just bought are insulated and waterproof! It is awesome for my everyday snowy trek across campus.
That is all I have for today! No worries, there will be more to come in the future. If you would like to follow, comment, or share this there are links below! Thanks for reading! Have an amazing day lovelies!

Taylor(:

Star-tastic Apple Sammiches with Taylor!
Star-tastic Apple Sammiches with Taylor!
Ingredients:
- Apples of Your Choice
- Chocolate Chips
-Peanut Butter
-Granola
Steps:
STEP ONE: Slice and Dice yo apples. Taylor believes it helps to not cut your fingers if you quietly chant “DON’T SLICE YOUR FINGERS. DON’T SLICE YOUR FINGERS.” So far, she is right. But tread with caution, for if you do cut a finger, do not pass go and do not collect $200.
STEP TWO: Take a small cookie cutter and cut out of the
core! Make sure that the apple slices
are thin enough they won’t split when you put the cookie cutter through
it. It also has to be thick enough that
it won’t snap in half also. We chose a
star. Because that is EXACTLY what we
are. Duh. Just kidding.
That’s the only small one we had.
STEP THREE: Add three
BIG spoon fulls of peanut butter into a bowl. Be sure to be mighty generous with all ingredients!
Then continue to add half a cup of chocolate chips and half a cup of
granola to the peanut butter. And Mix.
STEP FOUR: Match up like sized apple pieces and spread the
lovely mixture you made in the step before in between the two slices of
apple. Word from the wise. It’s not as easy as it sounds. Look at Taylor’s corresponding face in the
picture below.
Thanks for reading lovelies!!! I hope that you loved making this little snack with us! If you would like to see the original site that I got this from the link is below, it is because of them I got to make this creative and yummy snack!! Have a wonderful rest of your evenings!

Courtney's Yummy-Tummy Favorite Salad in the History of EVER:
Ingredients:
Spinach or lettuce. Whatever you please! Even grass if that's what floats your boat!
Mozzarella Cheese
Dried Cranberries
Ranch Roasted Almond Slices
Italian Dressing
Steps!:
One: Get a big bowl and add the greens of your choice to the bowl! (We used spinach, baby bok choy, baby red & green chard).
Dos: Grate either mozzarella or Italian cheese over your greens! *Note to self don't eat all of the cheese before you put it in the bowl* GRATE YO SELF HAPPY! (: Do not let friend bite the cheese block, unfortunately I would like to report a cheese fatality. Cause of death: Courtney's teeth.
Trois!: Sprinkle the Ranch baked Almond Slices generously (or however else you please) onto the salad. NOM NOM NOM.
FOUR! (No not Theo James from Divergent.): Sprinkle the dried cranberries just as generously! Yumooooooo! Isn't it so perty??
Five: Toss your salad and then put it in individual bowl and add your dressing. This also saves arguments over other condiments to put on the salad between you and your BFF.
I hope you enjoy this salad as much as I do. My papaw actually got me hooked on this and I eat it pretty much everyday. It is so yummy. We would love to hear feed back on your thoughts about it!! Thanks for your time and HAPPY EATING!
