Being a College Student 101:
Before I came to college I thought that it would be all smiley faces and rainbows. I thought that it would be easy and interesting and one of the most exciting experiences of my life and well...That's mostly true!

Although college isn't all of the smiley faces and rainbows that I suspected, it is certainly going great. There are a couple things that I suggest to people coming into college newly either in the Spring Semester or High School Seniors. The first is that when you go to college get involved. There are so many different clubs, organizations, and societies that you can belong to, so try them all! One thing that I will suggest beyond anything is that even if you think you have no interest in Greek life, at least check it out. Looking into what the different sororities/fraternities are about is not a binding magical contract! (**of course harry potter references are the best so I had to add one!) My story is that I had absolutely no interest in Greek Life before I went to college. I saw the movies and how they were betrayed on there, took several steps back and said no way!! But when the first event came up (because at my school we hold recruitment events instead of doing a Rush Week), I decided it was a good idea to go. When I went I almost instantly fell in love! All of the girls that were there were so nice and actually took interest in us girls who decided to attend the event. They all explained who they were, what the sorority stands for, and asked us to help them get to know us. It was awesome and as cliche as it sounds when you find the group that you belong to, you have a moment where you just know. You have a feeling that with that group is where you belong!
As wonderful as Greek Life is, there are many other things that you can get involved in on campus such as intramurals, Student Senate (that is what it is called at my school, it may be different at yours), sports, clubs (some can even pertain to your major!), and other activities through music or acting!
If you are worried about meeting friends, don't be! I met most of the friends I have now either at orientation or through the things that I am involved with on campus. Also make sure that you leave your door open! People in college are friendly and will say hi when they pass by! That is another great way to meet new people! (However don't trust everyone you meet, remember play caution because of stranger danger..be safe!)

Make sure that you attend classes! They are very important to keep track of and slacking behind is a bad path to go down! If you guys need any study tips for your exams or classes in general you can look at my exams post for tips from my friends and I!
Make sure to limit your amount of distractions, eat healthy, and give yourself incentives to keep yourself going!
Alrighty lovelies! that is all I have for you today! Have a wonderful night, stay safe, and keep on being amazing!
xoxo,
Taylor (:
